A Glimpse into the Past
Talhenbont Hall’s story dates back to 1607, when it was originally built as a family home by William Vaughan. The initials “WV” for its builder William Vaughan, and the date of 1607 are still clearly visible over the side of the house, which was once the main entrance. The Estate has been in the Good family since 1978. The name “Talhenbont” translates to “The Hall on the Hill” in Welsh, describing its picturesque location overlooking rolling countryside and ancient woodland. The property has been lovingly preserved over the centuries, with much of its original charm and architectural features still intact, making it a true historical gem.
Current owners Alicia & Paul took over the Estate from Paul’s parents in 2016 and have worked tirelessly to create a multi-award winning wedding venue.
In its early years, Talhenbont Hall served as the residence of prominent Welsh families, and its walls have witnessed countless stories of love, triumph and celebration. The Hall’s grandeur and significance have stood the test of time, transitioning from a private residence to a cherished venue for modern day events while maintaining its authentic character. It is said that Oliver Cromwell used the Hall as a garrison for his army!

Venue with Timeless Character
One of the defining features of Talhenbont Hall is its ability to blend history with modern luxury. The venue showcases exquisite period features, including original oak beams, grand fireplaces, and intricate stonework, all of which creates an enchanting atmosphere for weddings.
