Embracing Veganuary into Your Wedding

As we sail past ‘Veganuary’, and with planning season in full swing, our catering partners Cheeky Chilli, take a look at the not-so-passing trend of a Vegan Wedding.

The beautiful, natural setting of Talhenbont Hall lends itself beautifully to a sustainable, vegan celebration. Nestled in nature, with an abundance of fantastic local producers close by, it’s the perfect backdrop for a truly magical and mindful celebration.

‘Having a vegan wedding is not such a novelty these days. Many couples have strong commitments when it comes to what they put on their plates and want their big day’s to be a reflection and celebration of everything they hold dear.

As specialist wedding caterers for North Wales couples, this is a movement we have fully embraced. Our aim is to ensure that guests don’t just ‘tolerate’ your vegan preferences but leave dazzled and delighted by the range of flavours, textures and tastes they have experienced.

Vegan food absolutely isn’t boring and flavourless – it can be wild, colourful and every bit as tasty as its conventional options.

Amazing Grazing!

Vegan inspired weddings tend to be a little more relaxed, unfussy and casual. When couples are more chilled about their choices, it means they have more energy to be creative when it comes to planning the perfect menu.

Vegan grazing boards can be absolutely glorious – they really do look as good as they taste!

Combine your platters with some exciting roaming canapés to really get the party started – think rainbow sushi rolls, with refreshing shots of pea and mint soup, fragrant cauliflower pakora and our famous red lentil and sweet potato pate!

Decedent Desserts

Daring dessert tables are all the thing right now & the vegan options are every bit as decedent as their conventional cousins!

Our vegan Rocky Road, gooey brownies, homemade donuts, perfect panna cotta’s and moreish lemon drizzles look incredible, plied high, with lashings of homemade vegan ice cream and waterfalls of fresh fruit. Sweet dreams are made of this!

Make a Weekend of It!

Talhenbont Hall is the absolute, ideal location for a long, relaxing, ‘chateaux style’ wedding spread over an entire weekend. If you don’t want you day to go in a flash, think about extending your vegan celebrations to a full weekend wedding.

This allows for additional luxuries like ‘night before’ cocktail mixers, extra canapé or grazing boxes on the day, a decedent vegan dessert table and day after picnics by the banks of the River Dwyfach. After all, how often is it that you have all the people you love in the same place at the same time!

There is no doubt that opting for a vegan wedding is most definitely the most sustainable option. Using seasonal produce, opting for sustainably foraged foliage and hiring rather than buying decor, all helps to reduce your environmental impact.

Whatever your reasons for ‘going green’ – ethical, environmental or lifestyle, we absolutely celebrate this approach and cannot wait to work with you and help you bring your vision to life!
