November Micro Weddings

Love Is Not Cancelled

While the pandemic brought the majority of our weddings to a sudden halt this year, two of our couples decided love can’t wait and said their ‘I Do’s’ despite the obstacles standing in their way.

Laura & Matthew – Saturday 14th November

When partners Laura and Matthew decide to say ‘I Do’ they knew their day had to be somewhere super-special. As soon as the pair stepped foot inside our North Wales wedding venue, they said “we knew we had found ‘the one”. Despite the pandemic only allowing up to 15 guests to be in attendance, our couple chose to celebrate with three of their nearest and dearest guests and made it a day to remember.

A beautiful civil ceremony took place at 1:00pm, with Laura’s son Mason giving her away, it’s fair to say there wasn’t a dry eye in the Hall as Laura took to the aisle with Mason by her side. After the vows and ceremony concluded, guests enjoyed a champagne drinks reception in front of the roaring log fire for the duration of the afternoon.

A few words from our newly-weds: “We were originally planning a larger, more traditional wedding, but it just wasn’t in alignment with our priorities. Overall, we were aiming for a day that was low key, romantic, cosy and inclusive. A day that was less about the stuff or the requirements, and more about our love for one another and those that have most supported us on our journey together. We were also sure to carve out opportunities for the two of us to be alone and just revel in the meaning of the day. We cannot thank Alicia and Paul enough for their support on the lead up to our special day, they have both played a fundamental part in ensuring our day happened. We will be forever grateful.”

Destanie & Josh – Tuesday 10th November

Destanie and Josh’s wedding, like many this year, hit a few bumps in planning. After initially deciding to throw a large wedding with us at Talhenbont Hall, the couple decided to change their plans and trim their guest list to 11 guests. Their pivot to a micro wedding in our humble opinion was gorgeous and we’re so thrilled they made this day the best ever under the circumstances. Every inch of this celebration was heartfelt by all due to Destanie’s Mum sadly passing two weeks before the special day.

Details

Having turned their original plan of a large wedding into a charming and intimate celebration, Destanie and Josh made the most of every detail. The Coach House hosted their beautiful civil ceremony and wedding breakfast which included the ever so talented harpist: Dylan Rowlands. Following on from the reception, guests enjoyed an incredible firework display in the evening bringing the celebrations to a close.

A few words from our newly-weds: “We cannot thank Talhenbont Hall enough for all of their guidance, support, and love. Alicia and Paul are incredibly warm, kind people who we will be forever part of our treasured memories. Thank you for giving us the best day ever.”
