As with fashion, what’s in and out with weddings to cycle, from flowers to attires and everything in between. While some choose to go totally their own way, others may like to keep up with the trends and themes in fashion. With that said, here’s our predictions for popular trends this year!
Larger Weddings- With covid regulations finally relaxed, larger weddings are now an option again and many couples are keen to see their families all at once for the first time in a while. Larger weddings can be harder to handle, especially without a planner, but are well worth it for the large family photos and getting to see all your loved ones on your big day.
Destination UK Weddings– As above, now restrictions have opened up going destination UK for your wedding is back on the table. North Wales is the ideal location for a romantic wedding no matter the time of year.
Second Weddings/Post-Lockdown Ceremony- Many couples had their weddings unfortunately fall during lockdown and had to compromise on the size, date or location of their wedding. For couples wanting to have another go at designing your perfect day, some are taking to hosting a second wedding- minus the ceremony- inviting everyone that couldn’t make it the first time.
Pink out, Brown in- Blush was very much the colour of 2020/21 but it seems earthy and more neutral tones may be in for 2022. Tan, Beige and Peach are likely to appear a lot more this year along with flowers that fit that scheme- dry foliage like pampas grass or Lagurus, roses in muted shades like toffee roses, and the like are on their way in.
Statement pieces- Much in contrast, statement pieces or non-traditional elements seem to be coming back into the mainstream. Whether it’s a colourful balloon arch, unusual entertainment or bold splashes of colour in your design, including a personal touch can make your day even more memorable for both you and your guests!
